Nos encontramos a las puertas de las fiestas más deseadas del año, las fiestas de Navidad. Y es el momento adecuado para pensar cómo vivir y consumir en estas fiestas.

Cómo artesanas siempre fomentamos el consumo responsable, damos mucha importancia a la producción local y sostenible.  Nos comprometemos con nuestros valores todo el año, pero en épocas de consumo masivo, aún le damos más protagonismo.

Existe otra forma de poder comprar para dar a conocer el concepto “slow”, dando cabida a un trabajo digno, productos de km0, respeto por la naturaleza y con un espíritu auténtico y único.

Indispensable

Cada día, la mayoría de personas utilizamos el ordenador cómo método para trabajar. Para nosotras, es una pequeña parte de la jornada, ¡nos gusta más el taller!
Pero es necesario estar horas delante del ordenador para que todas las creaciones que realizamos de forma artesanal en el taller puedan llegar a vuestros hogares.

Así, que el ordenador es un indispensable para muchos, por este motivo, os mostramos las nuevas combinaciones de mochilas grandes para portátil.

En las mochilas para portátiles, hay cabida para portátiles de hasta 15”. Disponen de dos bolsillos, uno interior y otro en la parte dorsal con cremallera. Las nuevas combinaciones son de colores: marrón, gris y negro.

Las tres tonalidades, están formadas por dos cueros de diferentes texturas y grosores. Son muy ligeras para evitar más peso del que ponemos dentro y las asas se pueden regular a la medida deseada.

La mayoría nos gusta pensar en regalos que sean útiles y prácticos. Las piezas más utilizadas en nuestro día a día suelen ser los monederos y tarjeteros. Para dar visibilidad a los productos de menos tamaño hemos buscado la forma para hacerlos diferentes y únicos.Dentro de nuestras colecciones, disponemos de monederos y tarjeteros, con diferentes colores de cuero y con detalles que hacen que sea exclusivo y artesano.

Diseñados con líneas rectas y formas minimalistas, para una mayor facilidad en su uso.

Los tarjeteros, cómo el nombre ya indica, son ideales para llevar las tarjetas, dándole también cabida a los billetes y las monedas.

En el caso de los monederos en forma de pirámide, para quien no los conozca, tienen  un único compartimiento el cuál puedes abrir por los dos lados. Su gran obertura lo convierte en un monedero cómodo y fácil para buscar en su interior.

Limited and numbered edition

From the beginning, we were clear about what we wanted to create our products. Today, we want to make known some of the details found in our products when you receive them at home.

All the pieces are numbered from our workshop, therefore, each piece is unique. Each collection has its own numbering, which makes the collections of limited editions.

We can do this thanks to carry out the whole process in our workshop from the beginning to the end. We follow traditional techniques and we do it with our hands, we are craftswomen.

In order to show that it is made by hand, we have the card of professional craftswomen of the Generalitat of Catalonia with D’A.

The D’A is the badge awarded through the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM), proving the craft and Catalan origin of the product.

Being able to verify that it is made by hand, is one of the most important values ​​for us, since behind a brand there are always the people who give life to the products.

EDICIÓN NUMERADA Y LIMITADA

Des del inicio, teníamos claro lo que queríamos para crear nuestros productos. Hoy, queremos dar a conocer unos de los detalles que se encuentran en nuestros productos cuándo los recibís en casa.

Todas las piezas salen numeradas de nuestro taller, por lo tanto, cada pieza es única. Cada colección tiene su propia numeración, lo que hace que las colecciones sean de ediciones limitadas.

Esto lo podemos hacer  gracias a realizar desde el principio hasta el final todo el proceso en nuestro taller. Seguimos las técnicas tradicionales y lo hacemos con nuestras manos, somos artesanas.

Para poder mostrar que está hecho de forma artesanal, disponemos del carnet de artesanas profesionales de la Generalitat de Cataluña con el D’A.

El D’A es el distintivo otorgado a través del Consorcio de Comercio, Artesanía y moda de Cataluña (CCAM) , acreditando el origen artesanal y catalán del producto.

Poder verificar que está hecho a mano, es uno de los valores más importantes para nosotras, ya que detrás de una marca siempre hay las personas que dan vida a los productos.

Today we present the new model of fanny pack from the POCKET collection.

The pocket fanny pack is designed with a small practical and minimalist bag, to be worn at the waist or on the shoulder. They are available in two colors: brown leather and black.

Ha llegado el momento de cambios, las hojas caen de los árboles y el sol se esconde más deprisa, el otoño ya está aquí. Cuándo esto pasa indica que ha llegado la hora de poder mostrar la nueva colección para esta temporada!

Colores nuevos, modelos diferentes, cambio de detalles y nuevas texturas. Poder crear nuevos productos es una parte muy importante del año y para nosotras una de las partes más bonitas. Es cuándo la imaginación y creación son esenciales y juegan un gran papel en todo el proceso.

Vamos mejorando los productos según vuestras necesidades, todo lo que nos comentáis que queréis o necesitéis, es un factor que tenemos en cuenta. Ya que, quién lleva la pieza tiene que estar a gusto y poder disfrutar con su mochila, riñonera o bolso Nubuckcuir.

Hoy os presentamos el nuevo modelo de riñonera de la colección POCKET.

La riñonera pocket está diseñada pensando en un pequeño bolso práctico y minimalista, para poder llevar colgado en la cintura o en el hombro. Están disponibles en dos colores: en marrón y en negro.

Al tener un cierre con imán, hace muy cómodo poder abrir y cerrar, sin la necesidad de las dos manos. El interior tiene una gran obertura, para mayor facilidad para ver el interior con su bolsillo y con un detalle nuevo incorporado: una pequeña tira con una anilla para colgar las llaves!

Relax moments

We welcome the September and it is always nice to remember moments of the holidays to the sea, in the beautiful beaches that we have in our Catalan coast.

The backpack and the fanny pack are the two most used products during the holidays, for their comfort and functionality.

Colette wears one of our caramel brown backpacks. It is part of the Hibrid Basic collection with the addition that has the zipper on the back. This makes it an ideal backpack to travel and avoid theft and unnecessary losses.

 

And the black fanny pack with its soft and very resistant touch, is from the Mineral collection. What makes it more special is because of the leather finish. As our name does honor, one of the finishes we like the most is the nubuc and the fanny pack is made from black leather with rustic effect and nubuck finish.

The return to routine becomes more enjoyable, with the sun’s rays that still remain of summer and its warm temperature until the arrival, very soon, of autumn.

 

INSTANTES DE relax

Damos la bienvenida al setiembre y siempre es agradable recordar instantes de las vacaciones al mar, en las bonitas playas que tenemos en nuestra costa catalana.

La mochila y la riñonera son los dos productos más utilizados durante las vacaciones, por su comodidad y funcionalidad.

Colette lleva una de nuestras mochilas inversas de color marrón caramelo. Forma parte de la colección Hibrid Básico con el añadido que tiene la cremallera en la parte dorsal. Esto la convierte en una mochila ideal para viajar y evitar robos y pérdidas innecesarias.

Y la riñonera negro con su tacto suave y muy resistente, es de la colección Mineral. Lo que la hace más especial, es por el acabado del cuero. Cómo nuestro nombre hace honor, unos de los acabados que nos gustan más es el nubuc y la riñonera está hecha a partir de cuero negro con efecto rústico y acabado nubuc.

La vuelta a la rutina se hace más amena, con  los rayos del sol que aún nos quedan de verano y su cálida temperatura hasta la llegada, muy pronto, del otoño.

Our origins

A key factor that we are now working with leather is, without doubt, our environment.

In our city, Igualada, the fur-dressing industry dates back to the very origins of the history of the city, the eleventh century.

For this reason, we want to give the value of the history of the trades and their origins.

The reason why we currently have leather is due to recycling. Tanned leather is a waste of the food industry, which waste is used to make a useful consumption product for society.

Many times we have talked about vegetable marinade of some of our pieces. The marinade process consists in the chemical stabilization of the skin by combining the collagen fibers with natural tannins, synthetic tannins or with chromium salts.

It is very important to take into account the type of marinade, since this will make the final leather one or the other very different: its thickness, thickness, touch, finish …

Other processes to get to get the leather we use are: the divided, drying, lowering, greasing, dye … endless processes, all of them necessary.

The knowledge of the treatments was transmitted from generation to generation.

This reminds us a lot of craftsmanship, where the teacher transmits all his wisdom so that the craftsmanship is not lost.

Therefore, we can not forget where we come from to know where we are going.

Nuestros orígenes

Un factor clave que ahora estemos trabajando con el cuero es, sin duda, nuestro entorno.

En nuestra ciudad, Igualada, la industria del adobo de las pieles se remonta a los mismos orígenes de la historia de la ciudad, el siglo XI.

Por este motivo, queremos dar el valor de la historia de los oficios y de sus orígenes.

El motivo por el cual actualmente tenemos cuero se debe al reciclaje. La piel curtida es un residuo de la industria alimentaria, el cual éste residuo se aprovecha para realizar un producto de consumo útil para la sociedad.

Muchas veces hemos hablado de adobo vegetal de algunas de nuestras piezas.  El proceso de adobo consiste en la estabilización química de la piel en combinarse las fibras de colágeno con taninos naturales, sintéticos o con sales de cromo.

Es muy importante tener en cuenta el tipo de adobo, ya que esto hará que el cuero final sea uno u otro muy diferente: su espesor, grosor, tacto, acabado…

Otros procesos para llegar a conseguir el cuero que utilizamos son: el dividido, el secado, el rebajado,  el engrasado, el tinte…un sinfín de procesos, todos ellos necesarios.

El conocimiento de los tratamientos se transmitía de generación en generación.

Esto hacer recordar mucho a la artesanía, dónde el maestro transmite toda su sabiduría para que el oficio artesano no se pierda.

No podemos olvidar de dónde venimos para saber a dónde nos dirigimos.

Practicidad y comodidad, la riñonera.

Con la llegada del buen tiempo, apetece salir más y de la manera más cómoda y ligera. Para ir con menos peso y llevar solamente lo imprescindible, ¡las riñoneras son la mejor opción!

Las ventajas de una riñonera es que da la libertad de dejar las manos sin ninguna carga, por lo que hace de ella una prenda indicada sobre todo para ir de viaje.

Se dieron a conocer en los años 80, en aquella época era un complemento indispensable. Ahora vuelven a tener mucho protagonismo debido a su gran practicidad y comodidad.

El nombre más común es riñonera, pero puede conocerse con otros nombres cómo koala, canguro, cangurera… estos últimos podrían explicar bastante bien de dónde se sacó la idea de crear un bolso para la cadera.

Dependiendo de las necesidades, hay diferentes opciones de llevar la riñonera. Se puede llevar  en la cintura, delante, a un lado o hay la posibilidad de colgarla como un pequeño bolso en la espalda.

La riñonera Unisex con Solapa tiene dos compartimientos de gran capacidad, el bolsillo de delante se puede agrandar y tener más espacio interior.

Hemos recibido la primavera con la llegada de más horas de sol, exprimiendo el día hasta las últimas horas.

Y queremos seguir mostrando más capturas hechas por Colette junto con Ferran.

La protagonista de estas imágenes es la nueva Mochila Mineral Unisex.

En esta ocasión, hemos dado mucho valor a la procedencia del cuero.

Se trata de cuero realizado con curtición vegetal, se ha utilizado material orgánico en el proceso de transformación de la piel al cuero final.

Es una parte del trabajo muy importante y a la vez impensable, para nosotras poder manipular con cuero de curtición vegetal es muy gratificante.

Con la nueva composición de colores también hemos añadido algún detalle más para un mejor acabado  de la Mochila Mineral Unisex.

Colette y Ferran han sabido captar la esencia de la mochila que la hace destacar en preciosas ubicaciones del Empordà, en Girona. En concreto,  en la población de Pals y de Calella de Palafrugell.

Women’s Day | creative women

In this day many contradictory emotions are mixed. For a society of the 21st century there shouldn’t be a day in the calendar where the inequalities between two genres are remembered.

But today we, two creative women, have realized that we are surrounded by great women, who all struggle every day for equality doing their own projects and works.

We have the privilege of being able to work with what we like, to give shape to a very noble material like leather, always with the constancy and persistence of everyday life. That is why we are proud of who we are and where we come from. Thanks to our predecessors we can be here and now.

For this reason we want to present today some of the many women that we make creations to improve the world with awareness and wisdom, in an artisanal way, always respecting the environment.

DIA DE LA MUJER | mujeres creativas

En el día de hoy se mezclan muchas emociones contradictorias. Para una sociedad del siglo XXI no tendría que existir un día en el calendario dónde se recuerdan las desigualdades que hay entre dos géneros.

Pero hoy nosotras, dos mujeres creadoras, nos hemos dado cuenta que estamos rodeadas de grandes mujeres, las cuáles todas luchan cada día para la igualdad haciendo sus propios proyectos y obras.

Tenemos el privilegio de poder trabajar con lo que nos gusta, dar forma a un material muy noble cómo es el cuero, siempre con la constancia y persistencia del día a día. Por esto estamos orgullosas de quiénes somos y de dónde venimos. Gracias a nuestras antecesoras podemos estar aquí y ahora.

Por este motivo queremos hoy dar a conocer algunas de las muchas mujeres que cómo nosotras hacemos creaciones para mejorar el mundo con consciencia y sabiduría, de forma artesanal, respetando siempre el medio ambiente.
